Roos Bash scheduled

Weatherford High School’s Roo Bash Community Media Day is scheduled for 9 a.m.-noon on Aug. 16. Activities will include player poster signing, face painting, water slide, dunk tank, vendors, and more.

Admission to the event at Kangaroo Stadium is free. Proceeds benefit the WHS football program.

Brock coach honored by TGCA

Brock’s Shawna Lavender has been honored by the Texas Girls Coaches. She was named the Classes 1A-4A Middle School Cross Country Coach of the Year. Brock is Class 4A.

REGISTRATION

Aledo Athletics, Inc. fall registration underway

Registration is underway for fall sports in Aledo Athletics, Inc.

USSSA and Pony Leagues start the 2026 season in 2025. If your player’s birthday is before May 1, 2026 or Dec. 31, 2025, they must register and play in the age group they will be aged into. For example, if they turn seven on Feb. 14, 2026, they must register for 8U this fall season, even though they are currently six.

Players will not be allowed to play down.
