Posted

Clear Fork Veterinary Clinic has a a pet-loving staff of veterinarians ready to care for your four-legged family members.

Dr. Darryl McEndree

Dr Dr. Darryl McEndree said having pets and farm animals when he was young led him to become a veterinarian. His favorite part of the job is helping pets and people.

He has two cats (Bo and Tiger) and two dogs (Jazz and Minnie) at home.

He said the funniest thing he has seen in the clinic is Dr. Randy Doran, DVM.

One thing that makes his job easier is when people bring their pets in when they first become ill, not waiting.

“It is better to be proactive with preventative care than to wait until there is a problem,” he said.

If his pets could talk, they would ssay he truly cares for animals. His favorite dog breed is mixed, and his favorite cat breed is Domestic Shorthair.

His biggest advice for pet owners is to ask questions and make sure you know what is going on with your pet. He loves getting to know people and their pets.

Dr. Kim Wise

Dr. Kim Wise comes from a family of physicians. Her love for animals led her to veterinary medicine. Her favorite part of the job us that it is never boring.

At home she has Winter, an 11-year-old, Blue Merle Australian Shepherd who still loves life and acts like a puppy, and Wall-E, a 14-year-old cat with diabetes who loves getting his insulin shot twice a day.

The funniest thing she has ever seen in the clinic is a pair of Viszla’s that arrive to the clinic in strollers.

“We honestly love your pet and want to help you give them the healthiest life possible. We think about your pet much more often than you would guess, wondering if there is anything else we can do to help them,” she said.

If her pets could talk, they would say she takes better care of other people’s pets than her own, but they love her anyway.

Her advice for pet owners is  “With new puppies the first 6 months are a full time job; if you do that right you will have an amazing new family member.”

Dr. Emily Kingston

Dr. Emily Kingstonhas wanted to be a veterinarian since she was 4. She grew up around animals and started volunteering at a vet clinic when she was in middle school.

Her favorite part of the job is seeing a hospitalized patient start to get better. She has a Welsh Corgi at home that she brought from the animal shelter.

One of the funniest things she has seen was when she surgically removed a rubber ball from the stomach of a dog who had swallowed it, and determined that the ball still bounced.

If her dog could talk, he would say she is mean for not letting Mom chase squirrels 24/7.

One thing she wishes all pet owners knew is that if wives are sending in their husbands, “please make sure that they know what the plan is and what the pet is being seen for.”

Dr. Claire Williamson

Dr. Claire Williamson decided to become a veterinarian at a young age when she realized that “I’d be able to satisfy my need to help both animals and the people that love them, while simultaneously enjoying the act of solving medical puzzles and challenging cases.”

Her favorite part of the job is that she can help improve the quality of life for both pets and their owners.

At home she has a senior cat named B.C. and a Yellow Naped Amazon Parrot named Cracker, who came from the San Antonio Zoo.

She wishes all pet owners knew to importance of annual exams and labs. “If we can catch problems in early stages, we can help extend and improve your pet’s life,” she said.

If her pets could talk is an interesting question since her parrot can talk! But B.C. would say she needs to be home more to snuggle and would ask for more treats. Her biggest piece of advice is “to not wait if you have questions or concerns about your pet. Give us a call.”
