“Growing up in Aledo, my family had the unique opportunity to host exchange students from Italy, Germany, Israel and Indonesia,” Ballard said. “Those early experiences sparked a passion for the world and inspired me to dream of living an international life one day. Now, as a travel advisor, my desire is to create life-changing journeys that will open my clients’ eyes to the beauty, diversity, and connection that exists beyond their everyday world.”
“My favorite thing about travel is the opportunity to learn about and engage with other cultures and traditions. To me, there’s no better feeling than stepping off a plane and into a new country,” Milligan said. “I love the sights, the smells, the food, and the rhythm of unfamiliar places. I love that travel gives me the chance to grow in unexpected ways and shapes my ever-evolving worldview and I want to share these experiences with others. I get to help my clients encounter new cultures, religions and traditions so that they too, may be forever changed.”
Travel isn’t the only thing they have in common. They both also have strong connections to Aledo. Andrea graduated from Aledo High School in 2002 and spent her whole childhood growing up alongside her hometown. While Caitlin is new to the area, she has become part of the Walsh community and is raising the next generation of Ledoians. Once a Bearcat, Always a Bearcat!
And so, they are excited to bring their passion for travel to their favorite hometown by providing group travel opportunities and the creation of an Aledo Travel Club.
Join Andrea and Caitlin for happy hour on April 28 and learn about current travel opportunities in Africa; the premier bucket list destination. Experts on African travel from Abercrombie & Kent will be on hand to answer any and all questions.

Africa is the birthplace of Abercrombie & Kent, which began as a pioneering responsible luxury safari company in 1962, in East Africa’s wilderness of grasslands buffered only by sky, plains of rust-red earth and deserts bigger than many nations, their horizons as endless as an ocean. Beyond its thrilling wildlife encounters, Africa has fascinating cultures, cuisines, and histories, both ancient and modern. Cape Town’s wine and fine-dining scenes are some of the finest anywhere; Afrofuturist dreams burst into life on the neon-spangled streets of Nairobi and Johannesburg, while clues of ancient civilizations are etched on cave walls in Botswana – a reminder that the roots of our very existence lead back to this place.
