Commissioners finalize early voting locations

Posted

With the Nov. 3 general election approaching, Parker County commissioners approved a slate of election preparations during their regular meeting Monday, Aug. 24, including polling locations and the early voting schedule.

The last day to register to vote for the Nov. 3 election is Monday, Oct. 5. In Parker County, registered voters may vote at any location during the early voting period and on Election Day.

The court approved the early voting schedule for the seven early voting locations used countywide. In recent elections branch locations were closed two hours early where allowed by law, Elections Administrator Crickett Miller said, but because this election is expected to draw a large turnout, all locations will remain open for the full hours permitted under the Texas Election Code.
