The Weatherford College volleyball team extended its conference winning streak to 50 matches Thursday night with a three-set sweep of Ranger College at the Betty Jo Graber Athletic Center.
The Coyotes have not lost a Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference match since October 7, 2023 at North Central Texas College. WC went undefeated in conference play in the 2024 and 2025 seasons, and is now 12-0 in league play this season and 23-1 overall.
While the National Junior College Athletic Association does not maintain records for conference winning streaks, WC’s current run is the longest in NTJCAC history.
WC swept Ranger 25-13, 25-14, 25-14 for their 18th sweep of the season.
Mirabel Onyegwu turned in 13 kills and five service aces, while Beline Thibaut had 13 kills and 14 digs.
Alena Lopez recorded 17 digs and Nehir Han added 20 assists.
The No. 2 Coyotes next head to Athens, Texas this weekend to face Butler Community College on Friday and No. 15 Trinity Valley Community College Saturday. After a conference match at Hill College October 14, WC will host Southwestern Christian College beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Graber Athletic Center.
