Christmas in the Garden coming to Fort Worth Botanic Garden

Posted

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden, in partnership with Sony Music, will present Christmas in the Garden, a family-friendly celebration that transforms the Garden into a winter wonderland filled with light installations, local cuisine, and holiday memories.

Christmas in the Garden invites visitors to step away from the hustle and bustle of the busy holiday season and focus on what makes the season special: precious time spent together, exploring, laughing, and building traditions that will last for years to come.

Spectacular light displays

When twilight falls, the magic begins. A constellation of installations awakens, transforming the Garden’s paths into adventures that spark joy and the holiday spirit in the hearts of both young and seasoned guests. Here are just a few of the wonders that await:

  • Gingerbread Walk and Texas Nutcrackers — Step into a living fairy tale where life-sized gingerbread families have wandered straight out of storybook pages and on to the Garden’s pathways. These sweet Christmas confections share their neighborhood with towering Texas nutcrackers and the 12 Days of Christmas Cactuses — each one wrapped in twinkling Christmas lights.
  • Giant Illuminated Texas Flag — Everything is bigger in Texas, and this display of Lone Star pride proves it. Behold one of the largest illuminated Texas flags ever crafted – a beacon of red, white, and blue that stretches across the landscape.
  • Christmas Tree Grove — Stroll through a grove of glowing LED trees that rise in different heights and colors, creating a rainbow path. As you continue, pass through a beautiful star-shaped archway that moves you on to the next magical stop in your journey.
  • 1,000+ Dancing Bluebonnets — Imagine if every bluebonnet in Texas decided to throw a light party. A field of 1,000+ LED bluebonnets shimmer in blues and whites, creating a field of every Texan’s favorite flower.
  • Magical Ribbon Tunnel – Flowing like silk scarves caught in a gentle breeze, this tunnel covered with hundreds of lights wraps you in cascades of colorful fabric.
  • Candy Cane Tunnel — Sweet dreams are made of rainbow swirls. This multicolor striped wonder spirals you through a confectionery dreamland. As you walk through, you’ll feel like you’ve shrunk down and stepped inside your favorite holiday treat.
  • Japanese Garden Simplicity — Step into a world where ancient tranquility meets modern magic. The Japanese Garden becomes a canvas painted with light, where each installation whispers stories of beauty, simplicity, and the gentle dance between nature and artistry. Every installation works in harmony with the Garden to celebrate it, illuminate it, and invite you to see familiar spaces through entirely new eyes.

Delicious local legends

The Garden welcomes Westland Hospitality as its culinary partner for Christmas in the Garden. Known for bringing together some of Fort Worth’s most beloved dining destinations, Westland has hand-selected a lineup of local favorites to satisfy your cravings. The event features a carefully curated selection of Fort Worth’s finest seasonal offerings from JD’s Burgers, Magdelana’s, Pulido’s, Curly’s Custard, and Margie’s Italian Gardens — because nothing pairs better with twinkling lights and holiday magic than the flavors that make our city so deliciously special.

Don’t miss Curly’s Custard’s exclusive holiday creation, hot cocoa frozen custard. Created for and only available at Christmas in the Garden, this chocolate frozen custard topped with golden toasted marshmallows transforms childhood memories into an indulgent frozen delight.

Santa makes nightly appearances

Adding to the magic, Santa Claus himself visits the Garden every evening until Christmas. Families can share Christmas wishes, discuss holiday traditions, and capture precious keepsake photos with the jolly old elf. Santa’s presence brings an authentic touch of childhood wonder.

Ultimate holiday tradition destination

“Christmas in the Garden is the only place in Fort Worth where holiday magic grows naturally,” said FWBG President and CEO, Patrick Newman. “Whether families are building new traditions or celebrating cherished ones, we’ve created the perfect setting for togetherness, wonder, and joy.”
