The 15th annual Marcia Walters Memorial Thanksgiving Trot has named Andy Gonzalez as the 2026 recipient. Andy was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) in 2024. He is a dedicated father, loving husband, and an inspiration to all those who know him.
The Gonzalez family has lived in Aledo since 2020, and they have three young sons who attend Aledo ISD schools.
Andy, his wife Lizz and their boys have faced immeasurable hardship as this disease continues to progress. Medical needs, bills, ancillary expenses, and the growing demand for care continue to put immense strain on their resources.
The Gonzalez family is strong, deeply embedded in their community, and spread light even despite their circumstances. We are honored to serve them this year. Please join us as we rally around them and support their ongoing needs!
