East Parker County National Night Out celebrated

Posted

Aledo Police Chief Carol Riddle had this to say about the inaugural East Parker County National Night Out:

The purpose of National Night Out is to bring everyone together, police and the residents, to build strong relationships and safe communities. Our communities are so intertwined, what better way to accomplish this than with a collaborative event between our agencies and communities.  National Night Out gives us a chance to just spend time with our community, have conversations and let people get to know our officers behind the badge.

Willow Park PD had the vision to bring our agencies together for National Night Out this year, and we were all excited to launch the Inaugural East Parker County NNO event. Not only did we get to spend time with our residents, we got to hang out with our partner agencies as well.  These partnerships are important because public safety does not stop at city limits, and we are fortunate to work along side agencies such as Willow Park PD, Hudson Oaks PD and ESD 1 that share the same commitment to serving our communities.

The event was a success!  The District graciously provided the space to host National Night Out and all the attendees had a great time! Any time you have the opportunity to bring everyone together and celebrate each other is a win! We look forward to continuing this event in the years to come.
