Early voting for the March 3 party primary elections begins Tuesday, Feb. 17 for races all the way from U.S. Senator down to local precinct chairs.

Voters may choose to vote in either the Republican or Democratic Primary, but not both. It should be noted that at the local level, most of the positions do not have Democrats filed to run, so the Republicans will have no opposition in November — the primary election is the only chance for voter input in those races.

It should also be noted that both parties have propositions on the ballot that are akin to public opinion polls — the results of those ballot questions serve only to inform party officials of voter preferences.

Finally, any registered voter in Parker County can vote at any early voting location.
