Adventure Week was themed around superheroes

Kids at the Church of the Crossing in Aledo did arts and crafts during Adventure Week.

The overarching story of Adventure Week at the Church at the Crossing in Aledo concluded with the famous superheros realizing Super J does way more good in the world then they ever could after converting villian Blue Shredder into a good guy.

The Church at the Crossing in Aledo had its last day of Adventure Week on June 25 as counselors lead the kids in a dance to the music.

Aledo’s Church at the Crossing had its Adventure Week from June 22-25.

The church had more than 500 kids aged as young as four years old to incoming sixth graders take part in fun activities during the four days.

The theme of the week was “Jesus is my Superhero.” Many familiar faces of superheroes from both Marvel and DC were around as they tried to stop the antagonist, “Blue Shredder,” who caused havoc the first three days of camp. The final day saw Blue Shredder see the error of his ways thanks to a talk from “Super J,” making the rest of the superheroes, including Spider-Man, realize how powerless they are without Super J.

Besides just fun lessons studying the bible, kids did activities like doing arts and crafts, playing on the playground outside, playing inside the gym, and singing songs.
